As I started to type the title, I was trying to 2nd guess what week this was. How is Christmas this week? More about that next week! Let me catch you up with what happened the 3rd week of December!
Monday of the 3rd week of December
In the 2nd-week update, I had talked about getting healthier, and I am glad to say last week Kapper and I took a walk Monday-Thursday! A lot better, but I want to be consistent and go every day! We did a mile and a half on Monday around the lake! After the walk, I came home and worked on last week’s update and made some reels for Instagram. Dinner was whatever each of us wanted to eat. It’s been all work for me and I love it that way.
Dustin might not like me being so busy, but he can pick up the slack and start cooking! Right? Monday I did get to make my friendship bread finally! It was so yummy! My starter made 3 1/2 cups. So I got to make one cup and then have two more starters. I kept one for me and then gave the other to my sister. So I get to make more bread on Thursday 12/23! I also posted this funny reel about Dustin and me and projects.
Tuesday
Tuesday Kapper and I got a 1.32-mile walk in around the neighbor. When we got back, I got the Update for the week prior up on the blog and on Instagram. I also painted a craft to post later on in the week. I posted this cute reel of my favorite tools for my crafts/DIYs. Again, dinner was just whatever.
Wednesday of the 3rd Week of December
Wednesday I posted this funny reel about behind the scenes with the Roost, being a wife, a fur mama, and still having a “9-5” job. It’s true, funny, but I love how busy I am now. I love having Roost Eleven Eighteen. I have seen a huge difference in me, my confidence, and my anxiety. It’s something to look forward to and to give my worrying mind something else to focus on. Thank you for being here, thank you for supporting me and the other chickadees apart of the Roost. I love learning, growing, and teaching together! Wednesday we got just a little over a 1-mile walk in.
Thursday
I got my Christmas craft reel posted and the matching post on here up. It is truly such a simple craft but so cute! It might be too late for this year to have out, but you can make it for the years to come or plan for it for next year! This would be a great craft to dip your toes into the DIY world. Thursday, Kapper and I got another mile in half walk in!
Friday
Friday ended up being pretty hectic. I worked and then picked up Dustin to go to Walmart for a pickup order for my mom. We ended up waiting for an hour for one thing! That’s crazy to me. We picked up Taco Bell for dinner. They brought back the grilled cheese burritos-my favorite. Then we went back to Walmart, my glasses broke completely and I needed to do something about them. I just went with gorilla glue and so far so good. We also picked up a few things we needed for our get-together on Sunday. We got back, Dustin started to fold and put away laundry. I started on some little extra cleaning.
Saturday
Saturday was a long and busy day for me. I went and checked on one of my accounts for work. Sanded and painted some walls that needed to be touched up from holes. Then I cleaned the house top to bottom with extra stuff than my normal clean. I inserted the new couch cushion. Kapper had torn one up and it needed to be fixed. I also bought a new couch cover and it made all the difference! It also helped just brighten up the room until we are ready to buy a new sectional to match completely with the vision I have.
I got the whole house extra cleaned and then started to cook. I made Chicken Clubhouse squares, deviled eggs, a chip dip, and an extra special dessert you will find out more later this week. Then I got the gifts wrapped and ready to go. I will be posting recipes for all the goodies we had later this week!
Sunday of the 3rd Week of December
I got up plugged the crockpot in for the dip. Then I started on the homemade rolls. They didn’t turn out too bad for my first time ever trying to make them. This was a great recipe. I also made a cute charcuterie board and a grinch-inspired punch. Then everyone arrived just a little before 11 Am and we ate at 11:30! We had a great time just conversating and enjoying everyone’s company. We then did our gift exchange and played some games! Everyone was gone by about 3 PM and Dustin napped the rest of the afternoon. It was such a great day and I look forward to hosting another one next year!
Overall, it was a great week. Not very exciting besides Sunday. I think I am still recouping from the weekend and it’s Tuesday. Thanks for following along for the 3rd week of December Update. For being a chickadee and being apart of Roost Eleven Eighteen! For more behind the scenes and day to day posts follow Roost Eleven Eighteen on Instagram.
