The 2nd Week of November Update

Hi Chickadees, follow along to learn how my 2nd week of November went.

The 2nd week of November weather was fairly nice again! Towards the end of the week, we got some rain and wind. And by the weekend we saw the temperature not even reach 40 degrees and snow on Sunday! And this time last week I was writing we saw 60 degrees! Ohio weather for sure!

Monday through Thursday

The 2nd week of November wasn’t too crazy. I honestly spent the evenings after work wondering where all my time went because of how dark it gets now thanks to daylight savings time. I am hoping it gets better. There isn’t much I can do once it gets dark out, I’m ready for bed at that point! On Instagram, most people said they were doing just fine so maybe it’s just me!

Tuesday

Tuesday I scored an awesome deal at CVS with the CVS app. I got two tubes of toothpaste and two packs of CVS brand floss sticks for just about $1.90! We also spent about 40 minutes raking the yard up for Wednesday leaf pickup. We each have a rake and get it all raked up and use the leaf blower for the flower beds, front porch, and driveway. The trees that are losing leaves so far are the maple trees. We have one and our neighbors next door have two. We end up getting most of the tree in the side of the neighbor’s yard plus our big maple tree! By Wednesday morning it didn’t look like we had done any raking!

Wednesday

Wednesday I put all my fall decor put away and we got the Christmas tubs up! I got some pieces out already- check out this funny reel about decorating for Christmas.

Thursday

Thursday I had my first ever chiropractor adjustment and the man I’m so glad I finally went! As I am writing this, I am noticing how I haven’t been in near as much pain as I was before! My back and neck were pretty constant but now I don’t feel much at all now! I was definitely anxious about going much like most health-related appointments or medicine. Does anyone else have health-related anxiety on top of their “regular” anxiety like me? maybe regular isn’t the right word because I don’t think there is much about severe anxiety that is normal. But it all went good and I plan on going back again!

Also on Thursday, I came home from work to find my cute shelf that was above the toilet to be on the floor. One of my dishes with my fake succulents was broken and the marbles were everywhere. The best part is, my one-wick candle that was on the shelf ended up breaking the porcelain lid where the clean water is stored and the candle was sitting down in the water. So, we are waiting for Menards to have them in stock again to fix that issue!

Friday

Friday I worked and did my Friday deep clean and then my youngest sister came over. She came over on Friday and Saturday for me to do her senior pictures! We grabbed dinner and did some shopping at Marshall’s, that’s a normal thing for us! And then we cut and highlighted her hair. I don’t think I’ve really talked about it before but I am a licensed cosmetologist and I still practice hair not as much as I did before.

Saturday

Saturday morning we got up early, I had to run and check on one of my accounts. And then we got busy getting her ready. Curled her hair and did her makeup and then we were off. It was so cold compared to Friday! We froze our butts off out there but we got some awesome shots! It helped we had four different locations so we got to warm up in the car in between the shots. It was so great to see how happy she was having it all about her and feeling so pretty all dolled up. I am no professional photographer and I would never claim to be but I was just helping my sister out and I think they turned out pretty good for all of them being taken on my iPhone 11 Pro.

I also did some couponing after my sister left. She wanted to leave Saturday night just in case it snowed Sunday since she had an hour’s drive home. and we are both glad she left Saturday. It snowed more than we thought!

So I got Landry detergent, fabric softener, Febreze, toilet paper, sugar, dishwasher detergent, and shaving cream for $23! I saved over $18 on one trip! All at dollar general thanks to the dollar general app and the coupons! I have a post coming up soon talking about all these apps! We also went to Kohls and grabbed us some much-needed new bedding and pillows! Saved over $100 there and only spent $69 with $10 back in Kohl’s cash! We got this 9 piece set.

Sunday

Sunday we were a little lazy, it felt like we slept in a cozy pillow with our new bedding and nice new fluffy pillows! Once we got going for the day, we checked the Roost PO Box and headed over to his grandparents to visit for a few and picked up a snowblower for Dustin to work on. Once we got home, Dustin worked on it for a little bit, and then we ran to Walmart for a few things so we didn’t have to worry about it during the week. It’s officially: Once I’m home I’m not getting back out in the weather! Ended the night getting ready for tomorrow and then relaxing and watching some Little House on the Prairie.

I hope you had a great weekend and we all have a great work week! Kinda crazy to think the following week will be thanksgiving! This year has flown by!
