Blueberry Dump cake
I am convinced I just like sharing dessert recipes more than anything else. And that’s okay. In May, I didn’t push really any content out here on the blog. I am blaming that all on MeRcUrY rEtRoGrAdE. I strongly believe the planets and the moon have a big effect on us here on Earth. Mercury Retrograde really does me dirty every time. It seems like the summer Mercury Retrogrades are the worse for me.
Nonetheless, I am jumping into June stronger! For the Fambassador June Challenge, Our Family Brands sent me some red, white and blue food items to make for the month of June. I knew right off the bat I could make a Jell-o poke cake, but I had seen a couple of my fellow Fambassadors make that. So I wanted something different. I headed where all the great recipes can be found, Pinterest. Going back and forth on what to even try to make. Then it hit me like a semi. DUMP CAKES! As soon as dump cakes popped into my mind, all I could think about is the “DON’T MIX IT” dump cake tiktoks. Love those by the way, you can see what I am referencing here.
On Pinterest I found this Blueberry Dump cake recipe from Never Ending Journeys.
Blueberry Dump cake recipe adapted to:
- 1 white cake box
- 1 stick of butter, melted
- 1 can of blueberry pie filling
- (1) 8 oz container of whipped cream cheese
- 9X13 pan
This recipe is SO simple! Lay your pie filling down, then scoop your whipped cream cheese on top of that. Next add you melted butter with the box cake mix, do not follow the directions on the box. Just add the butter and the box cake mix. Then just crumble that mixture on top of your blueberry and cream cheese layers. bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 30 minutes. Serve with ice cream!
