I can’t believe I’m writing the 4th and final November weekly update. I am so glad I started this new segment but I can’t believe November is almost over!
Monday during the 4th and Final Weekly November Update
Monday after work I went shopping at Cato Fashion and Marshall’s to find a shift for Dustin and me for family pictures on Sunday. I found a shirt for me but I ended up running to Walmart to find a shirt for Dustin. After I found him a shirt I did some grocery shopping while I was there. Some items for dinner and the ingredients for the dessert I was making twice for a couple of Thanksgiving dinners.
Tuesday
Tuesday I received a package from target courtesy of my sister! She bought and sent Kapper and me matching jackets! Uhm how stinking cute is that?! I will make sure to include a picture of us below! I also made one of my favorite recipes ever from The Dashley’s Kitchen! Their One Pot Beef stroganoff is sooooooo good! Find it here!
Wednesday
Wednesday was when the crazy started happening. Of course, at work, someone was running behind which made me run behind waiting for them. Never happens, but it would be the day before we all have the day off. After work, I had to run home and start on my dessert. I made these delicious Carmel apple cheesecake bars. They were definitely a hit at both parties! Only came home with just a couple left each time! I should have made it Tuesday night but I just didn’t feel like it. Of course, I ran out of butter when I was almost ready for it to go in the oven. I had to run to dollar general and get some more and finish it. After I finally got it done I got ready, Dustin got home and we headed out the door.
Our Wednesday night before Thanksgiving is always so busy with working and then going to the dinner which is about 35ish minutes away. We had a great time- Dustin’s grandma, her lamp starting smoking really bad. We all smelt something bad, a few of the grandkids thought she had painted her ceiling. Obviously, that wasn’t the case- luckily what of the grandkids is an electrician and he got it out.
Thursday
Happy Thanksgiving day! Are you team turkey or team ham? I am team turkey all the way! I got up and straightened the house up and made my dessert for the next party. Of course, I ran out of brown sugar! Luckily Dustin was home and could run and get me some. Dustin was helping his uncle fry the fish. Yes, you read that right, fish. I was definitely leery about the fish. But it actually tasted pretty good. Since he was helping we arrived about an hour early. I talked about the 2022 garden with grandpa. We ate and then a few of us ladies helped clean up like normal. The guys got grandmas Christmas decor down and then we all went our own ways for the night.
Friday
Friday Dustin and I both had to work. Well, I had to but Dustin chose to. I just had a couple of accounts to check on. Then I came home and cleaned the whole house like normal plus did a little extra. We were planning to get our Christmas tree but it was so cold Friday. Didn’t do any Black Friday shopping. I got my vacuum I didn’t need anything else. So we went and got Dustin a dartboard. I’ve been telling him to get one for the past year and he finally agreed. So it’s part of his Christmas, but we played all night long. I’m not very good, but it’s fun! We also found out that one of Dustin’s good friends from high school got engaged Friday.
Saturday
Saturday wad tree day! Woohoo!! I said on my Instagram stories that it’s my favorite day of the year well my birthday comes first than Christmas tree day. We got the most perfect tree(I say this every year) and I got it all decorated! We tried a new pizza place and then went to our friends’ engagement party. It was a pretty low-key event wise but it was good to celebrate them!
Sunday
Sunday was family picture day. It was for Dustin’s moms’ side. 27 of us in a photography studio. Bright and early too! But they only lasted a little over an hour and then we had the rest of the day. We went to Walmart to get some things for the weekly grocery-wise. Then we came home and didn’t do much the rest of the day. Which I was glad about. It was a busy holiday weekend. But it was nice! I hope you all had a great week and holiday! Thanks for catching up with me and my 4th and final weekly November update.
