2nd Week of December Update

Hi Chickadees! Hard to believe there is just a handful of days left of 2021! Follow along to learn how my 2nd week of December went!

Monday of the 2nd Week of December

If you haven’t caught on yet, my Mondays usually are my “catch-all” days. I am usually catching up from the weekend getting everything back in order. Between housework, my “9-5” job, and Roost work. For dinner, I think we just had leftovers from the week before.

Tuesday

Tuesday after work I posted this cute reel of Kapper and his nicknames. Make sure to watch it here. I also made these chocolate chip cookies, my whole family loves this recipe. It came from my older sister’s cookbook. I am hoping she responds so I can share the recipe and give credit to the cookbook.

Tuesday was actually pretty dang cold and the result of that cold was Dustins’ truck battery taking a crap. Which we think it was the original battery. We bought the truck almost a year ago now, and it is 6 years old. So we can’t really complain.

Wednesday

Wednesday I started to walk again. I am really trying to make a healthier lifestyle overall. Back in September, I cut out all pop/soda and really all caffeine. I have had about 4 small cups of coffee since then. But I want to be healthy in every aspect of my life. I tried taking walks every day a few different times, but it seemed like my anxiety would cause me to always find a reason not to. But I am in a better place mentally now and I am determined to make taking a walk daily a habit. Kapper loves walks, so it’s an added bonus. I like walking around the lake, one because of the views! And two, he has more room on the leash to roam. I don’t have to keep him of people’s lawns when we just walk around the neighborhood. So we got a little over a mile on Wednesday night

Wednesday I also posted this cute reel of Dustins and I relationship. It’s nice to be able to look back and see how far we have come! After our walk, we met Dusitn at Autozone and got him a new truck battery. A truck battery and a small SUV/car batteries are a big difference. $200 for a dang battery. But I can’t complain it is what it is, and it is apart of owning vehicles.

Thursday of the 2nd week of December

Thursday it was time to add the flour, sugar, and milk to my friendship bread. I am so excited to make them and to share some starts with friends and my sisters! I worked on some behind the scenes stuff for Roost Eleven Eighteen. Like making some reels and following up on some other tasks.

Friday

Friday we got some Pizza King for dinner. If you are from Indiana you know how good Pizza King is. After I moved to Ohio I hardly ever got it. But now we live about 20 minutes from the Indiana/Ohio boarder and 30 minutes from a Pizza King. So I am always a happy girl when we get Pizza King. We try to treat ourselves once a month and its the perfect treat. I also got another mile walk in before it started to rain.

Friday I posted this funny reel about Dustin and I. Well more about Dustin. Are we all seeing a trend here. Husbands give you great content. I also made an Instagram post about experience and projects. I well making a blog post about that later this week!

Friday night I didn’t get to sleep until well after 4AM. We had severe weather Friday night. Strong winds, heavy rain, and severe thunderstorms. We were also under a tornado watch until 6AM Saturday morning. Down in Kentucky had much more severe weather than Ohio. I am just devasted seeing all the photos of the aftermath and knowing all the lives that were lost and the lives that will forever be changed. Please keep Kentucky in your thoughts and prayers.

Saturday During the 2nd week of December

Saturday morning was a little struggle but I got it together. Got my house deep cleaned. Worked on some reels and I posted this funny reel. I am so ready for spring already. I am ready to plant another garden. It is so much fun. I hate I had to miss out on 4 years of no garden since we were renting prior to the end of 2020.

Sunday

Sunday I had to go check on one of my accounts for my job. After that, I came home got my list together for grocery shopping. I needed regular groceries for everyday meals and then I need items for our Christmas parties. We are having a small little Christmas party next Sunday with my sisters, one brother in law, a friend and Dustins cousin. Then I got stuff for my families Christmas party as well. I will make sure to to share all the recipes on here and Instagram!

Sunday evening we did the walk the lights at our fairgrounds. So much fun. We did it last year too. This was only the 2nd year for them having Christmas lights at the fairgrounds. I am so glad they put it on every year now. It’s nice having a beautiful christmas display close to home finally!

I hope you all had a great week! Christmas will be here soon! If you want to stay up to date on all my day to day activities and behind the scenes, follow Roost Eleven Eighteen on Instagram. Thanks for following along and being apart of our community! Thanks for following along during this 2nd week of December update.
