My First week of November 2021 Recap
Follow along to learn how my first week of November 2021 Recap went!
Monday-Thursday First Week of November 2021 Recap
The workweek consisted of just that, work! I made a couple of different recipes for the week. One is one of Dustin’s favorites, Jesus Spaghetti! The recipe I use is from the comedian, Chelcie Lynn! Well, I don’t add all the stuff she does, but it’s still delicious!
I also made some muffins a recipe from a local business! She makes pre-packaged soups and muffins, plus she makes spices and dips as well as jam and jellies. All made and sourced locally! They were cappuccino muffins! And omg they were so good!! I can’t wait to get another mix from her!
My last project during the week was to get my front flowerbeds cleaned up. To have the rest of my fall clean-up checked off my list. All the hostas, the hibiscus, and the ground elder. Got all of it cut off and then got the leaves off the driveway, porch, and sidewalk. And raked those into a pile. Ready for Wednesday pickup. We still have a chunk of the yard since then to rake up but I got it started. So sense in raking it all up 6 days before pickup. We will wait until Tuesday night.
The weather was beautiful over the weekend for being November! I think we reached almost 60 degrees on Sunday afternoon! It was sunny all weekend long!
Friday of the First week of November 2021 Recap
Friday was my usual work until 3 PM and then come home and get all my weekly and daily cleaning done. Started another load of laundry, picked up the house, cleaned all the counters, emptied the dishwasher, cleaned the bathroom. Swept and mopped the floors. All that jazz. But the most exciting thing was I GOT MY NEW VACUUM. We’ve honestly have had the worst luck with vacuums.
When we first got our own place, my mom gave us a vacuum she had won from some contest. It wasn’t anything fancy and by the end of our first year, it wasn’t really working. So we found a shark navigator on sale at Walmart for $80! I used the heck out of that thing and by the end of our 3rd year it blew up! This was during the time we were turning in our keys to our last rental after we bought our house.
So we bought a cheap one and wanted until Christmas to buy a new shark. At that time we had a new puppy and he decided he needed to chew up the cord. Just about a month after we got it. So we got a new cord on Amazon and replaced it and it worked for about another 10 months. And then it stopped working in August of this year. And we were just over it at that point.
The New Vacuum
I don’t think I’ve really talked about it. Probably because I’ve been embarrassed and annoyed but I haven’t had a vacuum since august. But don’t think my carpets went that long without being cleaned. I was using Dustin’s shop vac on my hands-on needs. I waited until the “Black Friday” (can’t really call them Black Friday since they seem to be starting at the beginning of November) deals started. I’m so glad I waited!
I got this Tineco A11 Hero from Walmart originally for $200 on sale for $125. BUT I only paid $74 thanks to my Ibotta cash! If you don’t use Ibotta I have stories on Instagram talking more about it. And I will make a post talking about it. Anyways, this vacuum is seriously so nice. So far no complaints, I love it! I will update you in a couple of months before I give my final review!
We had hunt brothers pizza for dinner! It had been so long since we had Hunt Brothers! So good. We ran to Menards to get some supplies for Dustin’s project.
While I was cleaning, Dustin started on our lights for the outside of the garage! That’s one thing we’ve been wanting for a while! There are no outside lights! Other than the one in the backyard. We found two identical light fixtures at a rummage sale I think $2 a piece! Dustin isn’t an electrician- he’s an HVAC guy. But he talked it over with a few of his electrician coworkers and he felt confident enough to do it. He got one light up and started on getting the wire ran.
Saturday
I probably vacuum a few times between Friday and Saturday I was just so dang excited!
Saturday morning I had to run to check on one of my work accounts. After, I came home and worked on picking up and straightening up my craft room. It’s been a little messy. Extra wreaths and things needed to just be tidied up. I decided not to store my wreaths in the room hanging up. So I took them down and put them in the basement. So I took the screws out and patched the holes. I still need to sand and touch up the paint. We also got the dock screwed into the wall for the new vacuum.
Dustin got both lights up, and all the wires ran. He was in and out of the attic several times. Dustin didn’t actually start wiring just yet which I’m fine up. He got the hardest part done. The toughest part will be the wiring, and I want him to take his time with that.
I ran to the store and got all the ingredients for homemade Mac n cheese! I was just craving a delicious homemade recipe! And I found the best recipe!!! From Sweet Tea and Thyme! So cheesy and so much flavor! She has so many good recipes, so make sure you check her out! I made a short reel of this recipe on Instagram!
We ended the night relaxing and watching some “Little House on the Prairie” a great show I have been wanting to watch from start to finish. Dustin even stayed up and watched all the episodes we watched.
Sunday
Sunday morning I straightened the house back up. Started another load of laundry and we got all the laundry put away and hung up. Dustin even helped me, the worst part for me is hanging up all the work clothes. After that, Dustin washed the car, and I got ready for the day. I had a baby shower to go to!
I was so excited to go to the baby shower. It was for my first friend I made when Dustin and I started dating and when I moved over to Ohio. She’s having a baby boy and I’m so excited to meet him. It was such a fun party with a few games, and who doesn’t love watching the mom-to-be open up all the cute baby clothes and items?!
We came home ate dinner and finished our night with some more little house on the prairie! I would say it was a great weekend overall! Got a lot done and still had some fun!
