Hi Chickadees! I can’t believe it’s already December! This year has just flown by! This first week was a pretty great week! Here is my December Weekly Update!
Monday of my Weekly Update
Monday was pretty uneventful. It just consisted of a long day adjusting back to a normal week after a busy and short week the week before with the holiday. Monday night we had Cincinnati Chili and garlic bread! We hadn’t had Cincinnati chili in a while! Monday I posted this cute reel of the garland I bought and upgraded it to look more high-end! Just with some embellishments and some fake snow spray!
Tuesday
Tuesday again wasn’t a very eventual day. Just work, work and more work. Then come home and clean and clean and make dinner. I also got last week’s recap up on Tuesday as well.
Wednesday of my Weekly Update
Wednesday after work I went to CVS and did a mini coupon haul. My total came up close to $50 and I got it down to $10.68! It’s so exciting seeing all the numbers go down! This time may have been even more exciting because I actually had to go to the cashier instead of the self-checkout. So the cashier announced my total and then all my coupons and then my new total!
- I had $10 from my monthly care pass rewards
- Another $10 between three different offers from my last transactions
- The toothpaste was 2 for $7.98 and then I had a coupon for $7.98 for two making them completely free
- $4 off the extreme razors
- $1 off one puff plus BOGO 50% of the puffs
- $2 off the pack of dental floss sticks
- BOGO 50% the dove deodorant plus I got $2 back in extra bucks.
- Then 2% back on the CVS face wash
On Wednesday Dustin and I gained our 4th niece Alaska! She looks just like her big sister and her big sister is so proud! The new baby and Mom are doing great!
Thursday
Thursday was another quiet night, which is making me feel very unproductive! I don’t think it was quite just a lot of things happening behind the scenes. Reels, posts, and crafts.
Friday
Friday after work I did my weekly Friday deep clean. Got all my laundry washed and dried. I also got my most exciting post up on Friday (Thursday night) It’s a guide I made that has all the ways I save money in one place! I had been working on it for a few weeks I wanted to make sure it was pretty close to perfect as it could be. You can read all about it here.
Friday was also our little city’s “Midnight Gladness” event. Where all the downtown shops stay open late from 5 PM-midnight, and you get to shop all night long and there was a tree lighting and the high school band and dancers performed. Santa was there up in his courthouse square house. Just a great way to ring in the holiday season!
After we were done exploring downtown, we drove around a little bit in town and stopped at Dollar Tree where I found some $1 cheetah print vinyl! They had sparkly and regular color vinyl as well. I will be testing this out to give you all an update later this week! We then drove around and look at some of the Christmas lights. One of my favorite things to do for sure.
Saturday
Saturday I got all my laundry folded and put away. Dustin came home from work and he took a nap and I made some homemade lasagna! So good! We then met my parents and my youngest sister at a nature preserve for a winter luminary walk! It was so nice! There were multiple fires to stay warm, marshmallows to toast, the grinch and Santa to take pictures with, hot apple cider, molasses cookies, and the blacksmith shop was open. They had this beautiful old cabin on the property as well. I’m so glad we were able to go, I have been trying to go for the last few years. The weather was just a little cold but overall great weather! So now it will become a yearly tradition! After the walk, we got to go out to eat with my parents, overall it was a great night.
Sunday of my December Weekly Update
Sunday was a pretty relaxing day, and that’s just the way I like it. I had to go check on one of my accounts for work. We stopped by his grandparents and they asked us out to dinner so that was nice. Then Dustin and I went to Walmart to get a few things for the week. Then we came home and relaxed for the rest of the evening!
Some of the other back-end projects I have been working on this week are creating a Facebook and Tiktok for The Roost. I have both set up but nothing has been posted on either yet. I just really enjoy Instagram the most. I really want to get Pinterest more active as well.
I hope you all had a great week! And this next week is great too! Thanks for following along with another weekly update.
